This course teaches the basics of building and understanding quantitative risk assessment models, and provides participants with the opportunity to develop, scrutinize, and present Monte Carlo simulation models. Upon request, training on advanced simulation techniques are also provided (for example 2-D Monte-Carlo simulation). Software options include Analytica, @RISK, R, and others. Learning by example, participants will be given exercises involving elements of real world risk assessments that are being used in current policy and risk management. RSI also provides hands-on training in the use of FDA-iRISK to develop food safety risk assessments.
