Daniel Krewski, PhD, MHA

Daniel Krewski is a co-founder of Risk Sciences International, formed in 2006, and serves as Chief Risk Scientist and Chief Executive Officer.

Dr. Krewski also holds an academic appointment as Director of the McLaughlin Centre for Population Health Risk Assessment at the University of Ottawa, where he holds a Natural Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Chair in Risk Science. He is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association and the Society for Risk Analysis, and a lifetime National Affiliate of the US National Academy of Sciences.

Prior to joining the University of Ottawa in 1998, he served as Director for Risk Management within the former Health Protection Branch of Health Canada. He has earned international prominence through contributions to more than 800 scientific and technical publications in epidemiology, toxicology, biostatistics, risk assessment, and risk management. He has served on a number of national and international expert panels convened to address key issues involving public and population health risk issues, including chairing the US National Research Council’s report on Toxicity Testing in the 21st Century.
