Agriculture

Agricultural risks and opportunities come in many forms, ranging from the threat of adverse health effects among human populations as the result of contaminated food imports to the shifting likelihood of bumper crops or crop failures as the result of changing climate conditions.

Approaches to measuring, characterizing, and managing risks and opportunities in the agricultural sector continue to evolve with time, thanks in part to the use of new technologies in the collection of data, and advancements in agriculture-related science and computing power for risk analysis.

RSI’s experience in the Agricultural sector ranges from the development of risk-based decision-support applications for the management of agricultural emergencies at the national level, to the use of RSI climate analytics to lead or support climate change and agriculture risk and opportunity assessments at a variety of scales.
